JANUARY 1-21

The Garden invites you to join us in giving God our best on the first!  Our annual 21-day fast begins January 1, 2019, and hundreds from the Garden are fasting and seeking God’s way for us and our families. While there are many ways to fast, effectiveness can be increased as we seek God as a body. We’ll be fasting specific types of food and focusing our prayers during each week of the fast.

During the fast, the church will be open for a time of prayer every evening at 7pm. These prayer times will be included in our Saturday evening services, Tuesday worship practices, First Wednesday, and GYM. Childcare is not provided during non-service prayer times.

Our annual fast always results in powerful testimonies of mended hearts, healed bodies, restored lives, and renewed vision. True to His Word, God responds to our obedience when we fast. (Ezra 8:21, Isaiah 58:6, Matthew 6:16-18, Mark 9:29)  We’re believing God for an EXCEPTIONAL year ahead!

Those previously diagnosed with a medical condition directly effected by your diet should consult your doctor before beginning a fast.  If you are truly physically unable to participate in any portion of our corporate fast, ask God how you can adjust your diet and lifestyle to deny your flesh and focus on Him, and participate in this time of fasting and prayer with us.

If you’re new to biblical fasting, the links below may provide helpful information. During our annual fast, some may feel led to fast more foods than listed in the weekly schedule above, and most will be led to fast habits that may detract from this time of focus.
